I’m pretty bad at dada, so does that make me even more dada?
Yeah, I don’t know, art history class BLAH BLAH PROJECTS
“The Apotheosis [of the pierced son]”
In other news, this finals week is seriously destroying me. I’ve already done three things I told myself I wouldn’t do: Use water color again, create dada art, and eat a family size bag of Reeses Cups in two days.
The song that supposedly goes with this is “Radioactive” by Imagine Dragons but really, it can stand alone without the lyrics.

I really like all the Pokemon Fusion drawings my friends have been doing so I wanted to do one too. It’s fun!
BARTKIRA covers 1-6: COMPLETE!
As soon as I heard about the BARTKIRA idea, I jumped at the chance to contribute pages. The editors told me that the 2,200 pages had already been assigned to 400+ artists (within days!), but encouraged me to try my hand at the covers. I drew the Vol. 1 cover as an experiment, but got such a positive response that I went ahead and obsessively drew Volumes 2-6 without much sleep in the past 2 weeks.
Blatantly copying Katsuhiro Otomo’s covers was a fun and enlightening exercise. That being said, apologies to Otomo and The Simpsons people for all the liberties I took with their creations! I’m excited to follow all the new Bartkira artwork as they trickle in from the many talented artists/fans involved.
OH MY GOD

LISTOOOOO
there they are… Honestly I think it gets worse and worse on each page… sorry about that haha
Trying to draw simpsons characters in my own way was a big challenge!I’m not too happy with Skinner and Frink, and for the most part I kinda screwed up the colors, so sorry about that too!
but I’m actually really happy with the way Bart looks!
Page 266 from book 5 was a page I really wanted to draw since I knew about the project. It’s a very iconic moment and it’s from the first Akira book I ever bought, so I’m glad for the chance to draw it and for being a part of this project.

Heracleion, Lost Egyptian City Revealed After 1,200 Years Under Sea.
That last shot of the stone stela coming out of the water. Wow. I was expecting it to be covered with sediments and other sea life stuff, but no! It’s pristine looking!
